Brookline Engineering Project – Young Makers Program – Winter Session – Tier 1: The Brookline Engineering Project seeks to excite and educate students in middle school and high school about robotics, technology and engineering. This student led organization is a project-based learning environment where Brookline students can tinker, build and learn. Brookline middle schoolers can participate in a regular class from 6-7 pm on Monday or Thursday nights. This introductory engineering class gives students a taste of engineering and the engineering process. Students will get experience in areas such as structural design, circuit design, 3D modeling and programming. The class is designed to keep students focused on what they are passionate about, while giving them the technical ability they need to thrive.

  • There are two sections of this class.  One section runs on Mondays from 6:00-7:00PM and the other section is on Thursdays from 6:00-7:00PM.  Classes start the week of January 8th.  Monday dates: 1/8, 1/22, 1/29, 2/5, 2/12, 2/26, 3/5.  Thursday dates: 1/11, 1/18, 1/25, 2/1, 2/8, 2/15, 3/1.
  • Class is capped at 10 students, and students are expected to attend all sessions.
  • There is no additional charge to participate in this class, but students must be a member to participate.
