An event every week that begins at 3:00pm on Saturday, repeating until November 4, 2017

Design, Code, Play – Introduction to coding: Ever wanted to design your very own video game? It’s easier than you think! This class will introduce students to a beginner coding language which uses stacks of colored blocks to create complex code. This method allows students to easily learn the basic concepts behind coding rather than focusing on tedious syntax. Students will plan, design, and create their very own video games, which they will be able to play and share with friends. The class is taught by Brookline Teen Center’s Makerspace Youth Leader, Noah Lewkowitz.

  • This class meets for 4 Saturdays from 3:00-4:00PM in the BTC Makerspace, beginning October 14th and ending November 4th (10/14, 10/21, 10/28, 11/4)
  • Class is open to BTC members in grades 6-8.
  • The class is capped at 5 students.
  • There is no fee for this class, but students must be a BTC member to participate.
